Unusual Quilts Celebrating Those Who have Passed On

These pieces of textile art were found
@
 in
Carrollton, Georgia.

The pieces were created to celebrate the lives of those who have gone on before us.  This piece included headstone rubbings and then quilted.
Pedals from flowers that had spent their time on graves and thrown away, were reused in this presentation.
The hanging sheer panels were embroidered with quotes from tombstones.

Buttons!

I would SO enJOY a place like this.  Two walls of bookshelves holding quilt books!
Her sewing things fit in one box while mine overflows into a second room.
Wished we'd had time to explore more.
