If I had remembered to show you the box I was given by my cousin,
the box would have meant nothing to you probably.
Just a disheveled collection of a mass of scraps.
Not for me!
Even though I've never seen these pieces,
as I go through and touch each piece
and fold them
and organize them
I can't help but think of the memories they hold.
Even one piece still held possibly the last needle used.
